Same-Page Workflow

Re-run operations repeatedly without losing your active tool workspace.

Merging combines several PDF files — and, if you like, loose images — into one document, in the order you choose. The page content of each source is copied across unchanged: text stays selectable, vector graphics stay sharp at any zoom, and embedded fonts travel with the pages that use them.

This is the tool to reach for when a report arrives as a dozen separate attachments, when a scanned appendix has to sit behind a typed cover letter, or when a submission portal accepts exactly one file.

How it works

  1. 1Add your files. Drop several PDFs at once, or add them one at a time. Images are accepted alongside PDFs and become full pages.
  2. 2Set the order. Reorder the list until it matches the document you want. The first entry becomes page one.
  3. 3Merge and download. The combined file is assembled in memory and offered as a download straight away.

When you need it

  • Assembling a tender or grant submission from separately authored sections
  • Putting scanned receipts behind a typed expense summary
  • Combining chapters that were drafted and exported individually
  • Producing a single archive copy of a multi-part contract

Frequently asked questions

Does merging reduce quality?
No. Pages are copied object by object rather than re-rendered, so nothing is recompressed. A merged file is normally close to the sum of its inputs in size.
Can I merge files of different page sizes?
Yes. Each page keeps its own dimensions and rotation. If you would rather they all match, run Resize PDF afterwards.
What happens to form fields and bookmarks?
Bookmarks and links from the sources are not carried into the merged file, and two documents cannot share one form definition. If you need interactive fields preserved, edit a single document with the PDF Editor instead.
Are my documents uploaded anywhere?
No. Every tool in PDF41 runs inside your browser tab using WebAssembly and JavaScript. Your file is read from disk into memory, processed locally, and handed back as a download. It is never transmitted to a server, so there is nothing to intercept, retain, or delete afterwards.
Does this work without an internet connection?
Yes, once the page has loaded. The PDF engine, fonts and character maps are all served from this site rather than a third-party CDN, so an unstable connection or a locked-down corporate network does not stop the tool from working.
